Apabila suatu ketika Anda mendengar kalimat “Ibu Guru benci sama aku!” diucapkan si kecil berulang kali, dan si kecil menjadi rewel, sudah sepatutnya Anda lebih memperhatikannya secara khusus. “Used to” dipakai untuk menerangkan kebiasaan, namun kebiasaan tersebut dilakukan pada masa lalu dan tidak lagi pada saat sekarang. Langsung pada contoh saja ya,

“Budi Anduk used to play golf. He stop playing 5 years ago.”

paragraf diatas artinya kira-kira gini, “Dulu budi anduk mempunyai kebiasaan bermain golf, namun ia berhenti sejak 5 tahun lalu.” Aku kasih contoh lagi nih,

“Myrna used to go to Lisa’s House. Now, she doesn’t.”

paragraf diatas artinya kira-kira gini, “Dulu Myrna sering main ke rumahnya Lisa, namun sekarang tidak pernah lagi.”

Selain menerangkan tentang kebiasaan, kata “Used to” juga dipakai untuk menerangkan sesuatu yang pada masa lalu adalah benar adanya namun sekarang tidak lagi. Langsung menuju contoh,

“That building overthere is now a restaurant. It used to be a workshop.”

paragraf diatas artinya, “Gedung di sebelah sana sekarang rumah makan, padahal dulu dijadikan bengkel.” Contoh lainnya,

“I used to think that he was unfriendly, but now I realize that he is a nice person.”

paragraf diatas artinya, “Dulu aku pikir dia orangnya gak menyenangkan, ternyata sekarang aku menyadari bahwa ia adalah orang yang baik.”

Pertanyaan yang berhubungan dengan kata “Used to” digunakan dalam bentuk lampaunya atau dengan kata lain digunakan “did”, langsung contoh lagi,

“Did you use to accompany your mother to market?”

artinya, “apakah kamu dulu sering mengantarkan ibumu ke pasar?”. Sedangkan untuk kalimat negatifnya (kalimat yang menggunakan kata-kata seperti bukan, dan tidak) juga disajikan dalam bentuk lampau. Contohya adalah seperti ini,

“I didn’t use to buy comics” atau “I use not to buy comics”

paragraf diatas artinya, “Dulu saya tidak suka membeli komik”.

Ada kalimat tertentu yang mempunyai mempunyai struktur berbeda namun tetap memakai “Used to”, kalimat ini mempuyai arti yang berbeda apabila dibandingkan dengan “Used to” seperti kita pelajari diatas. Contohnya,

“I used to wake up early”, artinya, “Aku dulu biasa bangun pagi-pagi namun sekarang tidak lagi.”

“I am used to wake up early”, kalau yang ini artinya, “Aku memang sudah biasa bangun pagi-pagi dan ini bukanlah suatu hal yang baru.”

Waktu itu , tepat jm.12.00 mlm .

dapet tlpn dr mamang yg di tasik bahwa kluarga d lampung hrus plg detik itu jg .

Sontak gua kaget , gua langsung inget kakek yang lagi sakit di sana .

Gua udah coba tanya bapak ada apa dengan kakek , tp bapak cuma diem .

Gua punya firasat yang gak enak , firasat yg menandakan kalo kakek udah pergi ninggalin gua , tp bapak gak mau jawab . (ˇ_ˇ'!l)

Sepanjang jalan gua sedih , gua takut sesuatu terjadi sama kakek .

udah 4 tahun gua gak ketemu kakek , faktor biaya yang jadi kendala selama ini .

Waktu Sholat Subuh , saat itu gua & keluarga baru turun dari kapal .

Hape bapak berdering , panggilan dari mamang . sengaja gua angkat karna bapak lagi di toilet .

Dan ternyata firasat gua benar , KAKEK SUDAH MENINGGAL DUNIA DARI JAM 12.OO .

Mamang bilang sampe atau tidaknya kami di rumah nanti , jasad kakek akan tetap di kebumikan jm.7 pagi .

Dalam sekejap , badan gua lemes gak berdaya . Air mata terus keuar .

Gua sempet kesel , kenapa bapak gak mau bilang kalo kakek udah gak ada ?!

tp lambat laun gua sadar , bapak gak mau liat gua kecewa , gak mau liat gua sedih .

Karena bapak tau kalo gua SANGAT SAYANG KAKEK , begitupun kakek ke gua .

ya .. اَللّهُ apa yg harus gua lakuin biar detik itu juga nyampe di rumah kakek ?!

perasaan gua makin gak karuan , gua pingin cepet SAMPE sana . Gua pingin NGELIAT kakek untuk yang TERAHIR kali'nya , gua pingin MELUK CIUM kakek , Gua pingin minta MAAF atas kesalahan-kesalahan gua .

Air mata udah gak ketahan , mama terus nenangin gua . Tp tetep gak ngerubah perasaan gua .

Gua berusaha minta untuk nahan agar jasad kakek jangan di ke bumikan dulu sampe nanti gua tibadi sana .

Tapi hasilnya percuma jasad kakek akan tetap di kebumikan saat itu juga .

Gua cuma bisa pasrah .

Ahirnya sampe juga di rumah kakek , tp orang pertama yang pingin gua liat udah GAK ADA .

andai waktu bisa keulang lagi , pasti gua bisa ketemu kakek .

Terompet

Trompet adalah alat musik tiup logam. Terletak pada jajaran tertinggi di antara tuba,eufonium, trombon, sousafon, French horn, dan Bariton. Trompet di-pitch di B♭.

Trompet hanya memiliki tiga tombol, dan pemain trompet harus menyesuaikan embouchureuntuk mendapatkan nada yang berbeda.

Jenis-Jenis Trompet

Jenis yang paling umum adalah trompet B♭, tapi trompet C, D, E♭, E, F, G dan A juga dapat ditemukan. Trompet C paling umum dipakai dalam orkestra Amerika, dengan bentuknya yang lebih kecil memberikan suara yang lebih cerah, dan hidup dibandingkan dengan trompet B♭.

Flute atau Suling

Suling adalah alat musik dari keluarga alat musik tiup kayu. Suara suling berciri lembut dan dapat dipadukan dengan alat musik lainnya dengan baik.

Suling modern untuk para ahli umumnya terbuat dari perak, emasatau campuran keduanya. Sedangkan suling untuk pelajar umumnya terbuat dari nikel-perak, atau logam yang dilapisi perak.

Suling konser standar ditalakan di C dan mempunyai jangkauan nada 3 oktaf dimulai dari middle C. Akan tetapi, pada beberapa suling untuk para ahli ada kunci tambahan untuk mencapai nada B di bawah middle C. Ini berarti suling merupakan salah satu alat musik orkes yang tinggi, hanya piccolo yang lebih tinggi lagi dari suling. Piccolo adalah suling kecil yang ditalakan satu oktaf lebih tinggi dari suling konser standar. Piccolo juga umumnya digunakan dalam orkes.

Suling konser modern memiliki banyak pilihan. Thumb key B-flat(diciptakan dan dirintis oleh Briccialdi) standar. B foot joint, akan tetapi, adalah pilihan ekstra untuk model menengah ke atas dan profesional.

Suling open-holed, juga biasa disebut French Flute (di mana beberapa kunci memiliki lubang di tengahnya sehingga pemain harus menutupnya dengan jarinya) umum pada pemain tingkat konser. Namun beberapa pemain suling (terutama para pelajar, dan bahkan beberapa para ahli) memilih closed-hole plateau key. Para pelajar umumnya menggunakan penutup sementara untuk menutup lubang tersebut sampai mereka berhasil menguasai penempatan jari yang sangat tepat.

Beberapa orang mempercayai bahwa kunci open-hole mampu menghasilkan suara yang lebih keras dan lebih jelas pada nada-nada rendah.

Suling konser pada sebelum Era Klasik (1750) memakai Suling Blok (seperti gambar atas), sedangkan pada sebelum Era Romantis (Era Klasik 1750-1820) pakai Suling Albert (kayu hitam berlubang dan dilengkapi klep), dan sejak Era Romantis (1820) memakai suling Boehm (kayu hitam atau metal dilengkapi klep semua yang disebut juga suling Boehm, sistem Carl Boehm), atau suling saja.

Khusus musik keroncong di Indonesia pada Era Stambul (1880-1920) memakai suling Albert, dan pada Era Keroncong Abadi (1920-1960) telah memakai suling Bohm.

Trombone

Trombon adalah alat musik tiup logam. Seperti pada alat musik tiup logam lainnya, suara dihasilkan dengan menggetarkan bibir.

Kata trombon diambil dari bahasa Itali tromba (terompet) dan -one (akhiran yang berarti besar), maka secara bahasa tulis arti trombon adalah "terompet besar".

Pemain trombon disebut trombonis.

Saksofon

Saksofon adalah instrumen yang masih tergolong dalam keluarga woodwind. Saksofon biasanya terbuat dari logam dan dimainkan menggunakan single-reed seperti klarinet. Saksofon umumnya dihubungkan dengan popular music, big band music dan jazz, tapi awalnya ditujukan sebagai instrumen orkestra dan band militer.

Pada saat ini terdapat berbagai macam merk saksofon yang beredar di pasaran seperti; Selmer, Conn, Yamaha, Yanagisawa, L.A.Sax, Jupiter, Lincoln, La Fleur, Weril, Lark dan Subaru.

Pemain saksofon disebut saksofonis.

Clarinet

Klarinet adalah instrumen musik dari keluarga woodwind. Namanya diambil dari penambahan akhiran "-et" yang berarti "kecil" pada kata Itali "clarino" yang berarti "trompet". Sama sepertisaksofon, klarinet dimainkan dengan menggunakan satu reed.

Klarinet merupakan keluarga instrumen terbesar, dengan ukuran dan pitch yang berbeda-beda. Kata klarinet umumnya merujuk pada soprano klarinet B♭, yang merupakan klarinet terumum.

Pemain klarinet disebut klarinetis.
